I’ve dipped my foot in this water before—that is cutting back from posting here on a Mon-Fri schedule. Something always pulled me back though, mainly the fact I had so many topics and photos that I wanted to write about and share—I do love writing about gardening and sharing my passion. No doubt that COVID drastically curtailed my garden travels, and with that topics I’ve been able to cover have been less “far reaching”. There’s also been a steady decline of traffic here, on the blog—while interactions on Instagram (short as they are) seem to be growing.
All to say I’m pulling back to a more random posting schedule, maybe Mon, Wed, Fri. Maybe more some weeks, maybe less others—as the mood strikes. More when there’s more, less when there’s less, or other things vying for my time.
This also seems like a good time to break the news that Blogger (parent company Google) has announced they’re discontinuing the follow by email feature, in their words: the email subscription service will be discontinued in July 2021. After July 2021, your feed will still continue to work, but the automated emails to your subscribers will no longer be supported.
Which is to say if you currently get alerts of new danger garden blog posts via email, they’ll be stopping in July. You might be tempted to think I’ve stopped posting entirely, but that won’t be the case. You’ll just have to visit thedangergarden.com to see the latest. You could also use a service like Netvibes (https://www.netvibes.com), as a blog reader, I use it and I love it—and it's free!
Change... it's a good thing, right? Oh and speaking of change, Andrew got me out of the house and away from working in the garden last Sunday. These photos were all taken up near Trillium Lake (hence the trillium), here in Oregon. It was wonderful to get out in the wild again. I highly recommend it.
