Wednesday Vignette, peas in a pod

Back to the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden and a surprise found tucked into a stump.

Did you spot it?

Peas in a pod, on a painted rock? I left it in place for the next person to discover.

  1. A sweet thing. I thought you may have found a note giving permission to take the stump home with you...
I've been painting birds on tiny black pebbles and leaving them on my walks around the neighborhood for folks to "discover".

    1. P.S. I had a lovely surprise: the Seattle Times had a review of "Fearless Gardening" in last Sunday's Pacific magazine.

    2. Wasn't that a lovely review!? I was thrilled and what a nice surprise your rocks must be for those who find them.

  2. It's a sweet gesture. I didn't see it until the second photo but then I was looking for an agave or an opuntia...

  3. Stuff like that is so much fun! The only thing I've scattered on my walks is Texas Rock Rose seeds.

  6. Kind of like treasure hunting orienteering. A great excuse to go for a walk and discover.
