A sweet thing. I thought you may have found a note giving permission to take the stump home with you...I've been painting birds on tiny black pebbles and leaving them on my walks around the neighborhood for folks to "discover".
P.S. I had a lovely surprise: the Seattle Times had a review of "Fearless Gardening" in last Sunday's Pacific magazine.
Wasn't that a lovely review!? I was thrilled and what a nice surprise your rocks must be for those who find them.
It's a sweet gesture. I didn't see it until the second photo but then I was looking for an agave or an opuntia...
Ha! Fabulous.
Now that is a fun find!
Right!?
Stuff like that is so much fun! The only thing I've scattered on my walks is Texas Rock Rose seeds.
And have you seen signs of them coming up?
That would be easy to miss. Good spotting.
Thanks!
Aww, that's cute! I too missed it in the first shot.
It was cleverly hidden.
Kind of like treasure hunting orienteering. A great excuse to go for a walk and discover.
Anything that gets folks out walking...
