Search the hashtag #lifegoals on Instagram and you'll find all sorts of odd, disturbing, inspiring, hilarious, terrifying images. Yet for some reason I couldn't help but see that hashtag superimposed over this image as I watched him float by...
My new life goal is to float down a peaceful river in a giant pink flamingo...
Why not?
In case you're wondering how I happened to be there, watching a giant pink flamingo float by, that's Andrew, in the Sandy River, fishing. He can fish, I can float...seems like a marriage made in heaven doesn't it?

To me, that's a great way to spend a day. I think I need one of those flamingos. Or some other mode of flotation, plus goggles so I could watch life go by in the wetter environment below, as I drift around. Awfully tired of observing the crushing madness going on up here - it would be a nice contrast.
ReplyDeleteI've been out and about in our waterways quite a bit this year, thanks to Andrew. It's such a nice change of pace, well most of the time. A few times there have been so many other people around that I want to just hide in the car.
DeleteFlamingoal!
ReplyDeleteHa, you're good!
DeleteAs life goals go, that one isn't bad!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteWhat a fabulous idea--the floating, the fishing, the fun!
ReplyDeleteRight? Glad you agree.
DeleteThose big floats always make me smile when I see them. What beautiful surroundings here. Looks like heaven to me.
ReplyDeleteThe only other one I've seen was a big yellow rubber duck, what ones have you seen?
Deletehmm....does it have some sort of a motor ? Paddle/oars ? :) Have fun !
ReplyDeleteI think it's just for floating, but you could certainly take along a paddle.
Delete“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it."
ReplyDeleteI've heard that said...
DeleteHaha, love it. That water looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAnd warm!
DeleteThat water is so crystal clear!
ReplyDeletePretty amazing, right?
