WWTT Number 2

I just can’t figure this one out (click here for more info on the WWTT posts). It’s all so precisely laid out yet…so empty. Except for the weeds.
And what’s with that bridge to nowhere?
Obviously some time and money went into this design. Someone knew what they were doing, building-wise. But WWTT?

  1. Is this the same place? I can only assume that someone had once used these as flower or vegetable beds, with the bridge maybe used as a path between (?) However it looks like its been unused for some time. Maybe new owners? Weird.

  2. Wow... that is kinda strange. Especially the bridge. Maybe it is part of some obscure religion?

  4. I'm afraid that someone looking at my backyard might wonder wwtt! I've got some half-finished projects that are rather ugly. Here's hoping the weeds get pulled, the good plants planted and the cute bridge used.

  5. with all this rain - I'm surprised it hasn't turned into a pond, so the bridge could be useful? but then you would have to row out to it some how-no, never mind...

  6. Hah! I'm with Anonymous. Looks like an abandoned miniature golf course going to seed.

  7. It looks like an abandoned garden. It looks so sad....it makes my creative juices start to flow as I envision what I would like to plant there.

  8. Laura, nope different home. I see your theory on the bridge as a path but it is in the middle...not connected to anything! That horizontal board is only like 4-5" wide, not something you could comfortably walk on.

Greensparrow, I like the way you think!

Anon, ha! maybe...hey, it's not your yard is it?

VW, you've got all summer ahead of you! Who knows what amazing things you will accomplish.

linda, oh gosh...I should go back and see if it's flooded! I can totally see little canoes all around.

ricki, you guys might be on to something....

Noelle, can you make out the wheel-barrow in the second picture, on the left? I spotted this on a walk with my husband when I didn't have my camera with me. I went back the next day to take pictures and that is when I noticed the home owners were working in the front of the house. I have hopes that they'll make it around to the side. Not yet though.

Simple. It's Sarah Palin's garden. The bridge to nowhere is a dead giveaway. I'm glad you didn't get any closer Loree or you might have gotten shot at from that flyover helicopter you were too otherwise occupied to notice. The reason nothing is growing is two-fold. A. Moose parties and B. Too much manure TEA.

  10. The "They" of WWTT always amuse and confound me. This one looks like so many great ideas that petered out down the line. I hope the side gardeners move around to the front soon: it's perfect for a load of tomatoes or maybe corn!

  11. They must have run out of time or money for the project maybe both.

  12. Grace, oh god...you are probably right!

MulchMaid...that would be fabu! To see veggies growing there would make me stop and rephotograph it!

    Mary C, this could be...
