Less is more

I do think the fewer words you use to express yourself the better. I know that must be hard to believe, since my writing here on danger garden can tend toward the wordy. So this week I’m challenging myself to come up with posts using no more than 3 pictures AND sticking to the 140 characters allowed in a tweet, everyone’s favorite (it seems) succinct communication tool. Of course this little intro doesn’t count, so…on with the challenge!

A trip to Cistus confirms garden color doesn’t always come from plants and flowers. And sometimes specimen plants die, and are hard to hide.

  1. Giving yourself a word limit after a trip to Cistus. Not fair!

  2. I love those blue glass bottles on the tree! stunning!

Now while challenges are fun I'll remind you that some of us like your words. Opinions are always valued, and hard to relay in 140 characters.

  3. Challenges are useful, but I'm with your other two commenters. I like what you have to say, so don't feel you have to limit yourself to please your loyal readers. More is more where the Danger Garden is concerned.

  4. I love the garden art, such vibrant color in this gardens. I am guilty of not reading blogs that are too wordy.

  5. Denise, omg...I hadn't thought of that (limiting a trip to Cistus). But see the weather was horrid so I didn't take many pictures while we were there. I will post about my best purchase though! And I'll be back again in a couple of weeks so there is guaranteed to be a lengthy post then.

Laura, Thank you. That means a lot to me! No worries...I will try to express my opinions this week even in short posts and to make up for the brevity I may be extra wordy next week!

Pam, wow...I like that! (more is more) I mentioned to Laura's comment I will not be holding back for long. Promised.

Darla, will then this week is for you!

Hi Loree~~ Wuh duh fuh? I blinked and missed something. Brevity has it's place but not here!!! LOL

Far be it from me to tell you how to run your life or your blog but I've never been like, "Gosh Loree would you hurry up and end this post already?" NEVER. I suppose Twitter has its place but I'm more inclined to a few lingering visits rather than a hundred quick stops. Please don't punish your loyal followers any more okay? Thanks.

  7. Grace, thank you! I promise I will return to my normal wordy self next week. I just wanted to see if I could do it! I appreciate your all sticking with me.
