(that’s like 10 in blog years right?)
Thank you to everyone who has visited danger garden, whether you’ve only been here once or you visit once a week. The people I’ve met and the things I have learned from you all, what an experience! I especially want to thank those who comment, it’s such a wonderful reminder that people are actually reading what I write. I enjoy your feedback tremendously.
I’ve decided to follow in the footsteps of several other anniversary bloggers who’ve given something away to mark the day, and this being the danger garden it has to be spiky right? I’m thinking one of the
Agave desmettiana pups I recently harvested and an
Aloe saponaria pup at the very least; I’ll try and find another treasure or two to send along as well (they’ll be small). And I’ll send them soil-less since that’s one of the joys of succulents, they don’t need to be coddled.
I understand this isn’t everyone’s idea of a gift, for some it would be a curse… so if you are interested in being included in the spiky gift drawing please say so if you comment on this post. I’ll do the official drawing on the evening of Wednesday the 17th and because I don’t want to get embroiled in any nasty shipping battles I’ll only be shipping to addresses in the U.S…sorry ‘bout that.
This is also a great time for me to give a special thanks to my friend and ex-coworker
Andrea Schwoebel. She’s the creative talent behind the original danger garden blog header as well as my new “anniversary header”. You give her an idea and she makes it even better than you imagined! Thanks Andrea!
Here it is your first anniversary and all I got you was a comment.

I have learned so much from you this past year, Loree. It's been interesting and a lot of fun to see what you have on tap at the danger garden each day. I'm definitely up for a spiky anniversary door prize and if I win, you don't even need to ship it - I can collect it in person!
Congratulations-hope I last as long!

Loree, Happy Anniversary! It was so nice to meet and talk with you about gardening a few weeks ago. Your curiosity about nature gives you a very fresh, lively perspective on gardens. Keep on writing!
ReplyDeleteHey, can't believe it's been a year! As someone who has rarely missed a post, I feel lucky have been along for the ride thus far. Looking forward to all that is to come! I haven't been feeling very good about how your previous agave gift has been looking after the winter.... so I think I will let others try their luck! Happy anniversary and hope the next year is even more fun!
