Christmas lights, in the flower garden

Last summer I blogged about a gardener whose garden was all about the flowers. Of course that type of gardening doesn’t always allow for a great deal of winter interest. I was pleasantly surprised when we drove by her garden the other night and I saw this. She’s found a way to join her love of flowers and the Christmas season. Rather than a tree, a snowman or Santa all lit up in lights, she’s greeting the world with a bright happy Christmas flower. Are you seeing any garden related Christmas displays in your neighborhood? (besides the obvious Christmas tree)...

  1. That is a really cute idea...very original. I have not seen anything like that out here.....too many lighted blow up characters.

  3. No but I did see a neon sign in the shape of an agave at a mexican restaurant on my road trip this weekend, and had to laugh.

  5. Just reminds me that Christmas is getting nearer. And putting up a Christmas lighting in the garden would be fun. The photo shown is indeed a great example. Thanks!
