Things that make you smile are good things…

Surely you’ve heard of yarn bombing? This one is the best ever…

To whoever made this stop-sign flower, I thank you!

May your day contain a few unexpected smiles!

    1. I don't know if I read this somewhere or just made it up but I think maybe the project is complete except for the final "seam" which they so in place...sometimes under the cover of darkness. That wold definitely require an assistant though!

  4. James (lostinthelandscape) posted one of these a while back, and I just spotted one on NW Thurman. Makes me giggle every time, and so glad you have featured it here. I followed your link & enjoyed other examples, but this one is the best. Liked the alternate name: yarnstorming.
On a road trip in Canada we once traveled a several mile stretch where many of the trees and telephone poles were wearing ties.

    1. Tie-spotting! That would be a fun game.

I saw a rainbow colored band going up a stop-sign pole on Killingsworth yesterday. Not nearly as fun as this but still it made me smile.

  5. Love it! The local council has yarn-bombed newly planted trees in our town centre. Very bright and colourful

  8. Here, more than one car antenna has a saguaro wrap on it. If you did that sort of thing, I can only imagine Portland might have a few saguaros on sign posts!

    1. I've seen those plastic saguaro's on antennas but never a knit one. Uhm..."life size" on a sign post, that could be fun! Good thing I don't know how to knit or crochet!
