Ecovibe Home, on Alberta

You know how it is. You're cruising along, headed somewhere, when out of the corner of your eye you see...plants! Suddenly you're pulling over and parking, schedule be damned. That's how I ended up at Ecovibe Home, on Alberta Street...

I'm so glad I did...

That folded clutch in the front almost came home with me. I made myself put it down, thinking if I couldn't get it out of my head I'd go back. If it's still there then it's meant to be mine.

Dioon edule, a bit pricey at $151, but gorgeous.

Love these brass planters...

And these terrazzo planters too...

They're definitely after the houseplant crowd, lots of books especially for them.

Oh and this!

Very inspiring cork wall hangings (inspiring as in I start thinking about what I could do with this idea...)

It was difficult to pass up all the great notebook designs, but I have a tall stack of unused notebooks already, I don't need to add to it.

The wall hanging circles are clocks. I was tempted.

This was a great shop. I was a little sad, knowing the old Digs on Alberta location was just across the street, now home to a "dime a dozen" art gallery (and the "new" location of Digs has since closed too). But I'm happy know Ecovibe, a shop so planty, has moved into the neighborhood. I will be back.

  1. Very clique... wonderful modern style. Imagine you won a shopping spree for such a place. The cork wall hanging had me thinking too... a nice way to display Tillandsia. At the end, did you succumb to temptation?

  3. Looks like a fun shop, nice to have it so close by. So is Digs an ex-thing now? Defunct?

    1. She still has a booth at Urbanite (https://www.urbanitepdx.com/) but that's it. The "new" Sellwood location has closed.

  4. Finds caught out of the corner of your eye land smack-dab in the center of mine. Alberta, here I come. Sad about Digs...but hoping JJ is on to even better things.

  5. Discovering a shop like that is exciting - and potentially expensive! I love the bark mounts for air plants. I was captivated by the white wall-mounted containers in photo #17 too, thinking how nice they might look in my new kitchen (someday).

  6. Since I barely do houseplants I always have mixed feelings about stores like this. It always feels more like a fad than a passion. But I think I am projecting. Love the clutch.

    1. I felt plenty of passion there, houseplants are an always thing for part of the population...

  7. Nice store to visit. To be honest, though, I think your sense of style is better. Nothing there as good as your mantle arrangements, for example.
