Wednesday Vignette, tools of the trade

Walking through Kelly Grummons' opuntia house I spotted this collection of tools. Should you want to cut off an opuntia pad, or two, here's everything you need to be safe. That knife is especially fabulous...

    Wow - more like a bayonet than a mere knife... Does it come with elbow long leather gloves as well?

    I really do like some of the Opuntias but they still scare me a bit. I managed to get glochids under my skin when all I had was a single pad given to me by a friend - and I did use gloves!

    Ha! Excellent tools. Personally, I wouldn't approach without full body armor.
