I know I reminded my Portland readers earlier in the week...but just in case you weren’t paying attention, or were considering not going, I’m here to say WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? As “luck” (careful planning) would have it I was at Cistus Nursery…
Xera Plants…
And doing a little “private shopping” from the mobile version of The Desert Northwest…
In the days leading up to the sale. But now the plants pictured above are at the Expo Center waiting for you!
Hortlandia* 2012 April 7th and 8th, 2012
Saturday, 10am - 4pm and Sunday, 10am - 3pm
EXPO Center, 2060 N. Marine Dr, Portland, Oregon
FREE admission, but parking is $8
(*otherwise known as the Hardy Plant Society of Oregon Spring Plant Sale...name change a result of a little "creative wordplay" with the TV show Portlandia, which I may or may not have watched and may or may not have laughed at)
Ooh I am trying to figure out how many plants I could fit in my VW if I rigged it up like that...
ReplyDeleteIan said he did a blog post on this awhile back. For you I went looking and found it: http://desertnw.wordpress.com/2009/05/11/really-exciting-car-shelf/
DeleteLooks like an awesome sale! Wish I could go. I'll have to console myself by going to the Ruth Bancroft Garden sale on April 14th and then to Annie's Annuals Spring Party on April 15th. I hope my heart can take that much excitement!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your "consolation" events will amazing!
DeleteTake pictures for those of us who can't make it! It looks like it's going to be a fantastic show! Cheers, Jenni
ReplyDeleteI did! And I'll post them next week.
DeleteThanks for making us jealous again! Glad the Danger Botanical Gardens is back in the saddle, not letting any bare soil stay that way.
ReplyDeleteAh yes! "If you can still see the soil then you need to buy more plants"...
