If you are still in Paris and want to eat duck, I recommend La Grange aux Canards, on the Left Bank near the Maubert-Mutualitie metro stop. It is a very friendly, two-woman operation serving food from southwestern France. You can reserve on The Fork site. (We were in Paris for New Year's.)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the recommendation, but I am back in Portland, OR.
DeleteAh yes, but you are not gauche at all, you are very chic.
ReplyDeleteMerci mon ami!
DeleteAlison is so nice. Me? I wasn't going to make a nice joke. Maybe because I'm left-handed?
DeleteLooks like you made quite an impression on Paris. I hope they didn't walk all over you.
ReplyDeleteI'm danger, nobody walks on me!
DeleteHa! Soon you'll have a photographic record of danger signs for every place you visit. Interesting that "danger" is the same in French and English.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? They say it so much better though, like "donjee"
Deletemais oui, mon amie
ReplyDeleteMy goodness what a lot of clever commenters were here before me! Cindy at enclosure has lived in many places as her husband is in the diplomatic service. I bet she's a good resource for many cities. I met her and her husband when they came to town to visit their daughter.
ReplyDeleteI love Cindy's blog, wish I could have hit her up for recommendations prior to the trip.
DeleteIndeed, gaucheness is quite dangerous. Just ask me.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, I bet there's a good story there!
DeletePerhaps this means Kathy is left-handed? Or knows some one who is, who has had an accident related to that? I've heard it can make people accident-prone, given that so many tools are designed for right-handed people.
DeleteOh yes, danger, danger. Great vignette!
ReplyDeleteMade me laugh that's for sure.
DeleteHahaha - you just made me laugh! And so did Peter and Alison, too! :D
ReplyDeleteGood. We need all the laughs we can get!
DeleteThat would look not-out-of-place guerilla-painted in Portland.
ReplyDeleteWell let's just say if it happens I'll be there to photograph it.
