The tree with a hairy leg...

Oh the unexpected benefits of walking a dog. She pauses, I pause.

She takes care of business I look around.

And see this…

A furry tree trunk! Seems the grass next door found a welcome spot for its tips and seedy bits to land.

I wonder what things will look like come spring?

I’ll be watching…

  1. Too funny. Hope the tree doesn't get all embarassed and use Nair or something.

  2. Kind of creepy. It may be a good addition to your Halloween post next year if the hairiness continues.

  3. OMG, that's kind of hilarious. My Mexican feather grass seeds in the strangest spots too, but I've never seen it growing horizontally out of bark.

  7. It's a testimonial to the dampness of the tree trunk this autumn. But it doesn't take much to keep that Mexican Feather Grass alive.

    1. No it certainly doesn't, and there was enough moss on the tree trunk to provide a great place for the roots to take hold.
