I was hit with the desire to do something a little different this week...
After-all the Sungold tomatoes are so beautiful...
And there are so many of them!
The basil keeps trying to bloom, almost faster than I can pinch it back and cook with it.
So the kitchen bouquet was born...
Some rosemary from the front garden was added to the mix.
Along with a few sprigs of ginger mint and some of chocolate mint...
The purple basil may be the most fragrant of them all though, unless of course I touch the rosemary.
A small pot of assorted Aloes, with a drinking musician (one of Andrew's carvings)...
And a tiny Opuntia, with even more Aloes, complete the vignette.
As always find links to all the bloggers with bouquets over on Cathy's Rambling in the Garden...

I know you don't live here with rosemary stems so long and twisting. It's an annual in my garden and i'm always happy if it settles in and just grows for the season. Are your mints in the ground or pots? I haven't grown any for a couple of years and I miss it. I love the tomatoes and never would have thought of them; it's a brilliant addition.
ReplyDeleteThe mints are in pots, I can't imagine letting them free in the garden.
DeleteJust in case you want a snack while you're washing the dishes...I like this, it's different.
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteLooks, smells, and tastes delicious. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThank you Peter.
DeleteThis is really pretty and the green vase is just right to show them off and picks out the mint leaves perfectly
ReplyDeleteI first had grabbed a yellow one but it was too tall, yep, this green one was perfect in size, shape and color.
DeleteGorgeous ! How lovely to have a corner sink !
ReplyDeleteYes and no. The windows are nice, but it leaves a narrow area to stand to do the dishes and being a short person I have to lean in which ends up putting holes in my t-shirts where the button rubs!
DeleteNow that is my idea of a vase...edible with all my favorites except they wouldn't last long in the vase....they would be made into a tomato salad in my house.
ReplyDeleteI doubt it, there's plenty more right outside the back door.
DeleteI absolutely LOVE this gathering of gorgeousness. The green vase is perfect, the arrangements artful and to hve two aspects to look at from your sink is genius!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!
DeleteThe Sungold tomatoes look lovely in a vase! I've been staring at the gauvas and persimmons in my garden, wondering if I can make something of them in an arrangement (before the squirrels and raccoons take them all). Your arrangement may be the push I needed!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I bet you can come up with something lovely.
DeleteBrilliant, I love it! It must smell wonderfully... I'd be inspired to cook a pasta dinner with that in my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteHmm...that's a great idea!
DeleteVery nice! I really love your corner view out the kitchen window. I remember it from when you featured it before. Such a creative placement! If I was building a house, I think I would do something like that. Awesome! And your arrangements are so creative, as always!
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth, although that corner sink does have a drawback (see my reply to Daisy Debs above).
Deleteyour vases are always yummy...this one qualifies as double yummy
