ReplyDeleteI play this game routinely with Aries, as a cat, he's particularly good at finding the sneaky hiding spots. But the birds are just as good at spotting him regardless (he just watches them, at 18 years old, he has little interest in actually trying to catch them). Me, on the other hand, sometimes I have to really look. Heh.
Such a cutie, that Lila! I have cats. You would not like them in your garden. They love to make wallows in the yarrow and Mexican feather grass where they take afternoon naps. Unsightly cat crop circles! But Lila is more refined.
ReplyDeleteOh you'd be surprised Sandy. She somehow managed to sneak into the joint grass without damage but when she lays in the liriope in front of the stock tanks she leaves a rather large "depression"...she's just so darn cute though I can't get mad.

ReplyDeleteOur kitty, Mouche, (some years ago at our last house) would hide in the woody herb bed where it was cool. She would come back in the house smelling wonderful!
Ha! That's a god kitty! I think all my herbs are planted high enough Lila couldn't get in the containers, then again I had no idea she's climb up into the joint grass tank either...

ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't manage to spot Lila in every photo! She is a sensible girl to seek out the coolest spots in the garden. On the few really hot days, here in the UK, pour two dogs actually dig themselves little scrapes under the pampas grass !
ReplyDeleteI watched Brody (Cistus Nursery dog) dig himself a nice cool hole in the bin of potting soil the other day. It was so warm I kind of wanted to join him.
DeleteClever Lila! I had to squint on the first two photos of her hidden behind the Equisetum on the stock tank and only confirmed it with the third photo. And she seems careful too when hiding among plants, they look untrampled :)

DeleteThis is my kind of garden art. That face! Equisetum and stock tanks both need to be pre-loaded with Lila faces. She improves the surroundings.

ReplyDeleteNope she's very aware of the plants to avoid, then again it probably helps that they're all in the sun and she's looking for shady cool.
