Highway 30, on my way to Cistus last week! I was in awe, the roadside was gorgeous and thankfully I found a spot to park (off the highway) and safely snap some photos.
This is why I love the Pacific Northwest. So lush and green. I'm just going to pretend that ivy is a mutant form of licorice fern, though. I spent 4 years volunteering with my highschool at Seaquest State Park to help remove that evil vine.
That was a sight for sore eyes. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou are oh so welcome Alison!
DeleteSo nice to see green instead of white! I hope it's warming up there.
ReplyDeleteIt is, but it's also turning very wet.
DeleteSnow free, mossy, and ferny....nice!
ReplyDeleteFunny you mention the snow, if you look close there are still a few small patches. I cropped out the bigger ones.
DeleteGREEN! It's good to be green. where were these taken? thanks for sharing

DeleteA nice complement to my "brown" post today. Sigh. It's never that mossy and ferny here. Double-sigh.
ReplyDeleteGreen and brown are my two favorite colors. With 4.45" of rain (okay some of that fell as snow) this month moss is everywhere!
DeleteI was thinking that looked like the territory around here. Did you see the boulder-sized rock slides along the way? Oh, for a hydraulic lift.
ReplyDeleteI did not, it was week that I was out that way. Perhaps they hadn't yet happened? Or maybe I was just blinded by all the waving ferns.
DeleteWow! that really is a green landscape!
ReplyDeleteAnd I couldn't even get to the best parts! (without risking being hit by a speeding truck, which I would really like to avoid).
DeleteThis is the kind of green we NEVER get here in our virtual desert. But we have lots of shades of gray and brown :-).
ReplyDeleteSomeday I'd like to see if I miss it. If I'd get tired of the dry sun...
DeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDelete(thank you!)
DeleteAnd your pictures are nice too.
DeleteLush! I feel instantly relaxed...
ReplyDeleteIt has that effect doesn't it?

ReplyDeleteYa I almost omitted the ivy shots knowing they'd make some people shudder.
DeleteSo very Oregonian !
ReplyDeleteThe west half at least.
DeleteSimply beautiful! Thanks for the moment of green.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of amazing just how green it is out there right now. SO MUCH RAIN.
