I enjoy taking different routes. See a street you’ve never been on that’s going the direction you are…take it! You never know what you might find. The odd addition to this house (is that plywood?) caught my eye.
Then I saw the furry green roof.
Then I saw the cactus.

DeleteOK, don't think I'm stalking you, Loree but I swear I went on a walk yesterday to Mt. Tabor and I finally decided to take a picture of this very cactus (I pass by it regularly) to post in next week's post for just for you. That's a little Twilight-Zoneish. Hmmm maybe I'll post it anyhow, would that be too weird?
ReplyDeleteThat's too funny! Andrew and I were talking about you when we were there, we almost bought a house (back in 2005) just just off Stark on the other side and drove past it that day. I mentioned that if we had we'd have been your and Ann's neighbors. You should post it, I'm sure your photo is better. The light that day was awful.

DeleteHow awesome! Best roof garden I've seen in a long time. If anyone in my neighborhood had a cactus on their roof, the HOA Nazi's would be there in a minute to crucify them. Maybe when I come to Portland for the Fling, I'll stay. :o)

ReplyDeleteHuh...yes, that is interesting. Personally, the stone/brick wall with all the Moss really caught my eye. That is so earthy and nifty!
ReplyDeleteWere you able to determine if that is plywood? Kinda looks like metal in the closer shot. The whole thing has a suburban ranch cum prairie feel to it. Odd, but I like it.
