A couple weeks ago when we were staying in Fillmore, CA and making the trip to Pasadena (actually San Marino), to visit the Huntington Gardens, I realized it wouldn’t be too far out of our way to stop at Potted, home of the Circle Pot. Luckily I have the world’s best husband who quickly agreed.
Everywhere I looked there was something beautiful that I wanted. EVERYWHERE!
Fun metal cactus…
My new plant crush (sorry Callistemon ‘Little John’) Adenanthos sericeus (Coastal Woolybush)…as if passing up several beautiful plants wasn’t hard enough I came home to discover cut branches in the floral department at my local New Seasons Grocery!

Of course now I’m in love with the Orbit planter, because it goes so perfectly with the Circle Pot!

Finally I tore myself away and headed back outside, not to leave but to look at the plants again…and circle back around and pick up a couple of concrete Driftwood Planters.
Love them! And the nice ladies at Potted wrapped them up for traveling.
I couldn't wait to plant them up once I got home...
They certainly have a lot of very nice things! If I were to visit I wouldn't even know where to start! Lots of nice things for a contemporary, stylish look in a garden, all the way to quirky and unique. I wish I could get hold of those metal cactus sculptures here...

DeleteSo much cool stuff to look at! I love those concrete abstract mosaic stepping stones! I used to want mosaic stepping stones with all kinds of broken dishes in swirls, but I like those more modern ones even better. I bet I could make something like that (I'm dreadful at re-arranging broken plates into mosaics).

You've got such an ambitious spirit for projects! I bet you could make some great stepping stones. I did a broken plate mosaic on a terra cotta pot years ago. It was pretty dreadful.

Oh how very envious! Those pots are epic! They are the perfect for displaying some of your agave collection. I'm actually impressed with how amazing the white circle pot is. You must have been in pot heaven. That came out wrong, but you know what I mean.

Deletegeometric concrete planters and rusty cacti have to be my faves out of all that cool stuff. I wonder if you could buy those cut branches from New Seasons and root them? They have some cool stuff in the florist at New Seasons, I might try that!

DeleteDo want the tiered concrete-block waterfall! It looks like it's big enough to have some presence. And the steel wall planters...and the beautiful cylindrical pots in all colors...and those green frame chairs with the tuck-under footrest...wow!

DeleteHI GIRLS! The plant is Senecio Jacobensii - we get it at the shop ofte. Whe it is really happy the tips turn reddish/purple......quite lovely!
Deletepotted is the best! my husband and i go in all the time just to wander get inspired. Of course, we usually come home with something amazing. Also, I have a woolybush and it is one of my faves. so sturdy yet soft and touchable. We put it in a corner that needed coverage but maintain access.

ReplyDeleteIt IS a dangerous place to live near! LOL! But I love that store, and the gals who run it. (And if you stop by, the Indian grocery next door is a great place to grab a quick inexpensive vegetarian meal too! :D)
