I hate to think of what incident caused these signs to be printed, aren't these things obvious?

  1. You know they've gotten complaints when you see signs like this. People are idiots.

  2. Can you imagine how frustrating it must be at times to work at a nursery. We love them and they like us because we understand what they do and what they are offering us. But as your recent Pinterest item showed, most people haven't clue.

  3. One would think... but clearly not. I think Alison raised a good point.

  4. I work in a garden center. I've had ladies in open toed high heels complain about water on the cement!
Nothing beats the guy who watered box plants. I sowed him the boxwood. He said he wanted the ones that grow in perfect cubes, like he's seen an someone's yard. I explained pruning

  5. It's a litigious world - it all started with hot coffee at McDonalds. Warnings for the sleepwalkers. ;)

  6. Really? Next, we'll have to post signs at airports. Notice: You've landend in Seattle in February, there'll probably be rain so exterior surfaces may be slick.

  7. It HAS gotten ridiculous. Maybe we need to start certifying basic competence before allowing people to walk outside their own homes.

  8. We have those signs posted at the nursery where I work in Spokane (Loree?). It was a tripping incident where a customer's eyes went one way as the feet went another.

    1. Ritters? I was there during the holidays while visiting family. I’m thrilled to know someone there is reading my blog. Love that nursery!

  10. Bought a pizza pan with dime-sized holes in bottom for crispy crust. Before using, I peeled off large sticker that said, "Warning! Do not use this pan to make gravy."
You can't make this stuff up.
