Wednesday Vignette, Western Tiger Swallowtail

The garden is alive with flying and buzzing creatures. This one was nice enough to sit still for a moment. Just a moment...

  1. You and the Outlaw both have beautiful creature pix this morning which is something I don't seem to be able to capture visually.

  2. Nice! I see swallowtails flitting through my garden all the time, but they never stay still long enough for me to get close with the camera.

    1. I don't remember seeing many at all in the past. This year seems extra good.

  3. Flying flowers they are and purty ones to boot; too bad they won't sit around and pose but you got a great picture!

  4. Nice shot! I'm with Linda. For the life of me, I can't seem to take a decent picture of either butterfly or dragon fly. For some reason, bees are kinder to my attempts this year. Still trying, though...

    1. Usually dragon flys are my thing, haven't had the camera in hand much for them this year though.

  6. I only see White Butterflies around, those that are laying eggs in cabbage... Do you plant specifically to encourage the Swallowtail to stop by?
