This question was recently posed by Hoov over at Piece of Eden. She also asked "what’s your view" and "who (if anyone) stares at you wishing you weren’t blogging." She had a very succinct answer, naturally I do not. Depending on the day, the weather and my mood I blog here…
Or here…
Or here…
And in the same order my views are this…
But my eyes really see this…
This
Or this…
The being who most frequently stares at me and wonders why the keyboard is more important than stomach rubs is this one (blurry phone photo)…
Sometimes she tries to help me blog (or is that tries to prevent me from blogging?)
Sometimes she just gives me the power stare.
And sometimes she just gives up on me.
I occasionally get looks from this one as well.
Although he really is very understanding and supportive of this crazy blogging addiction. So where do you blog?

Great post, and I enjoy the scenes from inside...inspiring. Now I have to post on this...should be easy...always out of the $*#%@ sun! And always w/ fewer potted plants than you...
ReplyDeleteThank you Mr Dry Heat...and yes, always fewer potted plants. I think that's true for just about everyone! (it's a sickness)
DeleteThe Torchierre lamp on your desk! Is it Rejuvenation, or vintage? I'm dying over here.
ReplyDeleteRejuvenation! Oh no...we're Schoolhouse Electric people around here! (since my husband is the Dir of Manufacturing)...
DeleteActually it's vintage. We both (he and I) used to work for Luminaria in Spokane, vintage and reproduction lighting. I fell in love with the shade there and finally found a base it would fit with, he wired it up. Originally it would have been on a floor lamp. I still am in love with it!
You have some great views and blogging companions/starers. Also a nice, peaceful, relaxing environment no matter where you're sitting. I took some pictures to respond to Hoov's questions a few days ago, but haven't posted them yet.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your post!
DeleteOh, sweet Lila! We need more photos of your green fireplace, please.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'll work on that...
DeleteOh I love your mousepad!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great view. I only see a wall or cupboard while blogging.
I love that you noticed it! I picked that up in Seattle during the garden bloggers fling...
DeleteFun question! I love your couch and patio positions. I sit at an old singer sewing table, looking out to the backyard. My view is of the back patio area with the pindo palm and agaves. Its pretty happy. And if I turn my head to the east I can see Mt. Baker. It's a blissful space.
ReplyDeleteNice views! Perhaps you'll take a picture for us?
DeleteLove the Lila photos! She gets cuter every day! Your interior is as fab as your garden!
ReplyDeleteYes she does, and she knows it too.
DeleteAnywhere you sit you have created lovely views! My view is not bad, but my office is way to messy to show in a blog post. I'm a paper piler.
ReplyDeleteOur house is so small it has to stay pretty tidy (nothing out of view except for the basement), so there's not much paper piling around here.
DeleteI loooove Lila´s faces!! so funny!
ReplyDeleteShe should have been an actress! (Could have made me rich...)
DeleteVery nice blogging environs you have.
ReplyDeleteLove all your views and Lila is a sweet helper. I've blogged about the view from my desk before and I might show my desk area. I stick with the desktop where the photos are easier to deal with. I read blogs all over the place though.
Our desktop computer is slower than molasses, and I have trouble sitting at a desk for very long.
DeleteOh, dear, sweet little Lila...she Bogarts every post she's part of! I have a little and very cluttered desk in the "second bedroom" off the living room...Norm doesn't mind me blogging, since that means he has control of the TV remote ;-)
ReplyDeleteAh...that works out well for both of you!
DeleteR. could learn a thing or two from Lila: that pensive expression might actually work on me, the leg flung across the keyboard, not so much.
ReplyDeleteI would have to do some major tidying up if I were to show my workspace. It is quite pleasant when neat, and I can always step out the door for a walk around the garden to clear out the cobwebs in my brain (trading them for a few across the face).
I'd love to see your workspace, R's leg across your keyboard not so much!
DeleteI'm glad I asked! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry it took me so long to answer!
DeleteThis was a fun post! Thanks for letting us take a peek around your blogging life. I enjoyed your photo's of Lila. She has quite the personality :)
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine my days without her, I'm quite attached!
DeleteThere is no where in my entire house put together enough at any given moment for a blog post...but I post on a desktop on a messy desk upstairs. If I stand up I can see the front garden from a birds eye view...well....if I stand up on my tippy toes I should have said! ;)
ReplyDeleteSounds like your windows are as unfriendly as ours. In the bedrooms you have to go stand in the corner if you want to look out the window.
DeleteI can see I am going to have to upgrade my blogging spot. The view is into the kitchen, just to make sure I don't forget I have to make dinner. The spot is also that place you collect things so far too untidy to show.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, actually that first photo, with the metal desk, is in our kitchen. It's handy to be able to do two things at the same time!
DeleteHow fun! Thank you for sharing this with us. 90% of the time, I blog in bed facing the headboard/wall so that really isn't worthy of a post of its own. Neither are there stares urging me to stop. Such a ho-hum way to blog which coupled with work is probably why I don't post as much. I love that you have a view outside. No wonder that you are always inspired to post.
ReplyDeleteYikes yikes! You need to upgrade your blogging spot! Sounds like maybe then we'd get more posts from you...
DeleteWonderful blogging locations. All I know is that i'm grateful you do...blog. What a bit of joy and info you bring to my gardening life on a continual basis. Thank you! Karen in Lewiston, Idaho.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen! It's always wonderful to hear from people who read, and rarely comment.
DeleteAfter seeing how clean, organized and stylish your blogdom is, I'd be embarassed to show mine.
