I'm glad you were able to get your fern fix even in Texas; however, as Gerhard noted, although Texas has tough conditions, much of it gets significant rain, at least by SoCal standards. So that’s probably what was at the JF Garden. Plus, holly ferns are VERY common to the Houston area so I’m sure that’s what you saw. So glad you got to see more of the state!
