I guess I'm always looking down.It made me think I need to be more mindful of the more obscure features in the garden. Sadly that A. ovatifolia down the path bloomed in 2020 and is no more. kshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10847026541797857854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1018965493805276234.post-56165243189067067852021-01-13T15:56:17.253-08:002021-01-13T15:56:17.253-08:00When visiting my brother in law in Placentia, CA t...When visiting my brother in law in Placentia, CA they had a large palm in their small yard an it had a tomato plant in it. Or be removed before it happens? And for those who are obsessed and try to create this plant hosting phenomenon it can probably be done with specimens that have smaller growth potential. And share the experience, of course.chavlinesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10907844942343152129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1018965493805276234.post-80635522105578976282021-01-13T14:41:00.859-08:002021-01-13T14:41:00.859-08:00Isn't that amazing? The kids loved it, at least during the part of the year when the Opuntia was readily visible. The garden also has a "strangler fig" growing in a palm tree - the fig gets cut back annually so it hasn't yet succeeded in killing the palm.Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1018965493805276234.post-82335200403079929612021-01-13T10:58:20.633-08:002021-01-13T10:58:20.633-08:00From a distance they look like big green worms! From a distance they look like big green worms!Eliza Watershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06879335295393594236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1018965493805276234.post-14969600308134251942021-01-13T10:25:20.317-08:002021-01-13T10:25:20.317-08:00I *love* that this isn't a man-made installati...I *love* that this isn't a man-made installation but something that just happened.Gerhard Bock (Succulents and More)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17583583634141549759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1018965493805276234.post-8379422512571234782021-01-13T09:41:34.690-08:002021-01-13T09:41:34.690-08:00Wow.
