I am already so nervous about box blight that it is sad to think about what might happen to such a garden. And those gabion walls next door are high enough that they feel threatening to me. Very stay away from my house.

On a different note, I am friends with the two WI gardeners in the American Roots book. Think you will enjoy the variety in it. Plus it's professionally maintained, so obviously not rabid gardeners who appreciate rolling around in the dirt.
ChavliAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1018965493805276234.post-56910754951185916312023-01-31T10:09:18.100-08:002023-01-31T10:09:18.100-08:00You're right! You're right!danger gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227500551609537140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1018965493805276234.post-31535749352895859562023-01-31T10:09:07.804-08:002023-01-31T10:09:07.804-08:00Intriguing is the perfect word, I so wish I could ...Intriguing is the perfect word, I so wish I could have explored them!danger gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227500551609537140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1018965493805276234.post-34681387391760822912023-01-31T10:08:12.453-08:002023-01-31T10:08:12.453-08:00Ya, the cloudy day didn't show the view to it&...Ya, the cloudy day didn't show the view to it's best. danger gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227500551609537140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1018965493805276234.post-72239049447352166842023-01-31T10:07:23.326-08:002023-01-31T10:07:23.326-08:00I agree, boredom would set in, there's no way ...I agree, boredom would set in, there's no way I could be happy with this planting long term, but it's fun to visit!danger gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227500551609537140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1018965493805276234.post-10418697187385741802023-01-31T07:36:27.278-08:002023-01-31T07:36:27.278-08:00Wow, the antithesis of my desert garden!Wow, the antithesis of my desert garden!Nancy in Sun Lakes AZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09882208110664899569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1018965493805276234.post-38034328465703560212023-01-30T14:04:39.386-08:002023-01-30T14:04:39.386-08:00I can apricate gardens of many styles, even those ...I can apricate gardens of many styles, even those I'd never want for myself. However, the perfectly manicured shrubs do a beautiful job of highlighting the artistically positioned splashes of red (or is that vice-versa?). There's enough variation in foliage color and texture to carry the eye but I still think I'd get bored with the garden overall. In contrast, my gardeners who love their hedge pruners, would probably think they'd gone to heaven, although I doubt they could maintain all those shrubs in their pristine state in the 20 minutes or less they give my garden each week. As gabion walls go, the one featured in your 2nd and third photos is impressive, even if intimidating.Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.com
