San Marcos says the standard variety is hardy to 20 degrees, so nice to hear there is an even hardier version. As the plant ages the growth gets larger and larger and can damage stucco walls. Also rats find it an attractive place to hide.<br /><br /> Once the plant is established, it can be completely cut to the ground and the old growth removed so the plant will grow back again in that dainty manner. I do that with my Parthenocissus tricuspidata.
