#1 - pr...I had similar problems in my old house. <br /><br />#1 - privit--I really needed the screening from the privet but hated it. I gradually pruned it up as a tree so all that big bulk was gone next to the fence but it still left me some evergreen screening higher up.<br /><br />#2 - 3 differnent styles of ugly older wooden fences --I stained them all the same color - a medium-ish semi-transparent gray and that did wonders. There was even a section that had a couple of metal posts that I also stained.
