Wednesday Vignette; fairy garden mushrooms

This Aechmea x Billbergia, (maybe x Cryptbergia 'Red Burst') in its crackle-glaze planter, sits on my desk. I tucked the moss in because 1) I love moss, 2) misting it will make the Bromeliad happy too. Out of frame sits a vase of the dried centers of Anemone 'Honorine Jobert' flowers. I broke a couple of those centers off, accidentally. Instead of tossing them I stuck them in the moss, then I realized they looked like little mushrooms. Fairy garden mushrooms. Damn, I don't do fairy gardens.

  1. Ha. I know how you dislike fairy gardens, but I bet you do like this one... lets just call it a serendipitous miniature garden. I love it.

    1. When they're being forced to live in our dry home they definitely do.

  8. Well, I had to look at this right away-Seeing the words 'fairy garden' in your post title was a bit jarring I must say. I'm relieved that you are still yourself !
