  1. If you are still in Paris and want to eat duck, I recommend La Grange aux Canards, on the Left Bank near the Maubert-Mutualitie metro stop. It is a very friendly, two-woman operation serving food from southwestern France. You can reserve on The Fork site. (We were in Paris for New Year's.)

    1. Alison is so nice. Me? I wasn't going to make a nice joke. Maybe because I'm left-handed?

  3. Looks like you made quite an impression on Paris. I hope they didn't walk all over you.

  4. Ha! Soon you'll have a photographic record of danger signs for every place you visit. Interesting that "danger" is the same in French and English.

    1. Isn't it? They say it so much better though, like "donjee"

  5. My goodness what a lot of clever commenters were here before me! Cindy at enclosure has lived in many places as her husband is in the diplomatic service. I bet she's a good resource for many cities. I met her and her husband when they came to town to visit their daughter.

    1. I love Cindy's blog, wish I could have hit her up for recommendations prior to the trip.

    2. Perhaps this means Kathy is left-handed? Or knows some one who is, who has had an accident related to that? I've heard it can make people accident-prone, given that so many tools are designed for right-handed people.

  9. That would look not-out-of-place guerilla-painted in Portland.
